First purchase, decent value

I was looking for a good deal on a 't-shirt anti-couteau' and Kamouflages had a promotion going on. I got 15% off, which made the price much more manageable for my budget. The shirt fits well and seems durable, so I feel like I got good value for what I paid. Shipping was free because my order was over 100 euros, which was a nice bonus.

Reliable for security gear

This was my third order from Kamouflages; I got a 'parapluie de défense' this time. I've previously purchased a 'gilet pare-balles' and a 'sac à dos pare-balles' from them. The quality has been consistently good across all my purchases. They always ship discreetly, which I appreciate for these types of products. No surprises, just reliable service and solid gear. I trust their products.

Good quality, delivery could be faster

I bought a 'coffre-fort livre' from Kamouflages. The product itself was exactly as described and felt very sturdy. It blends in perfectly with my bookshelf, which was the main goal. The website was easy enough to navigate. My only minor issue was the delivery; it took about 8 days to get to me in Florida, which felt a bit long for a relatively small item. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, so that was good.

Does Kamouflages ever have sales? Like, a Black Friday thing or something?

R Raj Romero 1 month ago
Oh yeah, they totally do. I grabbed a vest during their winter sales and got a pretty good discount. Black Friday is a big one for them too, and summer sales.

Definitely keep an eye out around seasonal events. Black Friday, summer/winter sales, and even French Days, they usually have some decent percentages off, sometimes up to 20% on certain items.

Does my package show up in a big box screaming 'SECURITY EQUIPMENT INSIDE!' or is it more low-key?

T Todd Bennett 2 months ago
Nah, they're super discreet. My order for an anti-knife shirt came in plain packaging, you wouldn't know what it was unless you opened it.

Can confirm, they get the 'discreet' part right. No branding or anything obvious on the outside of the box. Important for this type of gear, obviously.

Are the anti-stab shirts actually legit? Like, are they tested or anything?

C Colin 2 months ago
From what I understand, they do have certified protection. I think the product pages usually mention the specific certifications, if you check there.

Yeah, they're pretty serious about the safety stuff. I saw on their site that their body protection is certified. So it's not just some random fabric.

Hey, wondering how long shipping usually takes for a bulletproof vest to, say, Miami?

J Julia Beaumont 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure they're a French company, so international shipping could take a bit. I ordered a discreet safe from them to New York and it was like 2 weeks, maybe a bit more.

Yeah, I think they focus on France and Europe primarily. For the US, you'd probably need to check with their support directly for an exact timeframe, but don't expect it in a few days.

I'm looking at a camouflaged book safe. Is Kamouflages better than, say, SafeGear for these kinds of things?

P Phil 1 month ago
Kamouflages really specializes in the 'discreet' part, so their camouflaged stuff is usually really well done. SafeGear might have more variety but maybe not the same level of stealth.

I've looked at both. Kamouflages definitely focuses on making their stuff blend in seamlessly. If that's your priority, they're probably the way to go. SafeGear is good too, but maybe less 'hidden in plain sight'.
